Archie was always a puppy who loved a Rugby Ball

Archie was the most loving, playful and fun boxer you could ever meet

My daughter called him our “Daytime Dog”

A friend of ours had Archie from 8 weeks old but 18 months later his marriage broke down and Archie became trapped in the middle. One day whilst my friend was at work his ex let herself in and took Archie - refusing to let my friend see him again

2 weeks later, around 10.30pm my friend called to see if I was still up and could he come over. To my surprise he arrived with Archie in tow. My friend had “dog napped” Archie back and came straight to my house 😂

As my friend worked a 12 day Archie stayed with myself and my daughter who was 9 at the time for the next 2 weeks so that he was never alone

From then onwards I would go and pick Archie up and bring him to our house everyday whilst my friend worked so he became our “Daytime Dog” 😊

Over the next 9 years we looked after Archie every day, he stayed with us at Christmas and every time my friend went away, we loved him like our own

During those years he loved to chase a Rugby Ball or carry a stock everywhere. He managed to snap both back cruciate ligaments chasing a ball 😂

Over the years he had many lumps and bumps removed but one day we got a phone call to say he was spinning and crying so could we come with my friend to the vet. He wouldn’t eat for anyone except me but then he was sick

He was diagnosed with an aggressive brain tumour which broke our hearts as nothing could be done and he was in pain 😢😢

We love and miss you every day Archie - the best Day time Dog ever 😢🐶🌈
