The best dog in the world

Hudson died suddenly on Tuesday 28 March 2023 (the same day that the lovely Paul O'Grady passed away). It was two weeks before Hudson's ninth birthday and far too soon to lose him.

Hudson was a rehomed flat coated retriever and it took five and a half years to find his forever home in North Wales. He previously lived in other countries and had a number of failed placements. He arrived following the loss of another beloved dog and was a scared and reactive boy. That changed with lots of love, trust and care.

Hudson became the most fantastic friend and companion who loved his life so much. He was always happy. He took part in raising funds for charity and his photographs were used to advertise products on social media (he was so very handsome). We explored lots of places together and spent many hours in Snowdonia. This was always followed by a rest on the sofa at home. He made many friends, human and dog, during those three and a half years. He is greatly missed.

His passing has been heartbreaking and it would be lovely if people could donate to Battersea, in his memory, to help other scared and lonely dogs find their forever home. Every dog deserves to be loved.
