She was the most gentle, loyal, beautiful girl. Always by my side, day and night. So elegant and perfect in every way.

She came to me one November evening over the farm gate. I was her 4th home that weekend and she was due to be pts 2 days later. She had separation anxiety and was shut down. I loved her from the moment I saw her. She was fawn with a blue mask. I'd wanted a whippet for years and called her my cosmically ordered dog. She soon settled into our routine and the separation anxiety became a thing of the past. I took her on holiday with me to Cornwall, just the 2 of us and it was the best holiday ever. She was 14.5 when she passed in my arms at home with the help of the vet. She'd been unwell for a few days and we'd been in and out of the vet but sadly she had kidney failure so I took her home for a few hours after she'd spent a night at the vets but she started to fade. I asked the vet to come to the house as I couldn't face driving her there. She was everything to me. The last 2 years of her life I became unwell and was medically retired at not even 50 years old but I got to spend all day every day with Molly and I'm eternally grateful for that. I miss her ever single day with my whole heart. If love could have saved her she would have lived forever.

She gave me so much and I made a promise to her that after she passed I would give a dog that really needed one a home. I am so fortunate to have adopted Pixie from Battersea Dogs and Cats home. She was an ex breeder from a puppy farm for 5 years. She was very timid initially but has blossomed, as Molly did, into a wonderful companion.

Thank you Molly for everything, I miss you my beautiful girl, always xxx
